3 Things to Know About the Role

  • You’ll develop custom integrations for a whole new class of application - Improbable’s SpatialOS platform and other products - that are built and deployed for efficiency, scalability and high-availability. Post-Pandemic, there will be some domestic travel to client sites, the percentage of which will highly depend on where you’re based today.
  • What you build will vastly increase the capabilities for planning and meeting the threats of the modern world.
  • You’ll work closely with your own and other Engineering and Product teams, including the Games Business Unit Partner Engineering team to share expertise, develop and leverage common resources.

3 Things About an Ideal Candidate

  • You’ve worked in a customer-facing engineering role, or at least the strong desire to do so. This means you’re an efficient communicator to both technical and non-technical audiences. Bonus points if you’ve directly handled low-level (vs. purely UI) integrations.
  • Your software architecture, software engineering or computer engineering background equips you with proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages : C++, C# and Java
  • You’ve deployed and run production software on AWS or Azure, and are at least familiar with distributed architectures and cloud infrastructure. Big bonus points if you have specific experience with gaming and simulation engines (ex. Unity), and extra big bonus points if it’s with military simulation and training.


Note that this role requires US Citizenship. Security Clearance is a plus, but not required.
