Your Mission:

A Sr. Customer Marketing Analyst is a critical role within the Marketing function, in charge of analyzing and interpreting analytics data and building customer marketing models. This analyst will focus on key drivers of customer acquisition and drive insights that will fuel customer growth in 2022 and beyond. For example, draw insights from web traffic data and recommend changes for engineering and product teams to implement in order to improve traffic performance. In addition, this person will be the point person for conducting growth audits, simulations (A/B) testing and experiments to improve process, BDR optimization, conversion rate and overall performance.

Utilize Your:

  • Business acumen – understands key challenges facing AppFolio business and partners with key stakeholders to find creative ways to apply data science to solve them; connects dots between data & business outcomes
  • Data Analytics skills – able to identify, measure, model, and impact the important metrics needed to manage and monitor the Payments business. Additionally able to build Tableau dashboards, launch exploratory analyses, deploy clustering models and run A/B tests.
  • Attention to detail – appropriately checks all work for errors and does not let important details slip when it comes to data and its accuracy
  • Creative problem solving - able to use creativity and curiosity as tools to pick apart any problem, producing a solution which is relevant and realistic
  • Efficiency – able to quickly iterate on data generation and refinement. Looks for ways to improve processes to maximize efficiency and remove redundancy

Key Requirements:

  • Min bachelor’s degree with a preference in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Marketing, Business & Management/MBA, Computer Science
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in a combination of the following areas: Consulting, Research, Corporate Strategy, Banking, Private Equity, Marketing, Data Science etc.
  • Familiarization with Machine Learning techniques and Scored models.
  • Strong business acumen and experience in a business setting.
  • Strong Tableau, SQL, R and Excel skills required.
  • Familiar with web/app analytics e.g. like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and/or Optimizely
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce suggested.
  • Ability to support, work and communicate with a fast, cross-functional team.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Listening and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate ideas in both technical and business terms
  • Highly self-motivated and directed
  • Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
