Your Mission

The DevOps & Deployment Engineer will ensure the scalable, continuous deployments and ongoing support for STRIVR’s products. Your mission is to enhance how we automate, build, release, and deploy tools and processes for our products and cloud services internally as well as at the customer-level.

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Work with Engineering and Operations teams to develop, implement and support automated CI/CD pipelines and related dashboards, improving on build, deployment, and test pipelines
  • Automate and manage large-scale deployment of multi-stack software builds to multiple customers with varying hardware devices (laptops, mobile devices, VR headsets) across various platforms (Windows, Android, Linux); this includes troubleshooting when needed
  • Deploy cloud services to public cloud providers like Google Cloud, and multiple environments (Prod, Staging, Dev/Test)
  • Manage provisioning customer devices (Windows, Android, Linux) and VR headsets at scale, devices that our customers use and STRIVR actively managed

At minimum, you have

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant professional experience
  • 3+ years of build/release and configuration management experience, including having automated build and deployment processes through a build system for embedded or remote hardware; prior wins driving improvements in these areas highly desired
  • Experience with source control to manage scripts and configuration (we use Git)
  • Proficiency with cloud deployment, build automation, orchestration, or dependency management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
  • Experience with CI systems
  • A solid understanding of networking (both wired and Wi-Fi)

Bonus if you also have:

  • Experience deploying, monitoring and troubleshooting software systems such as Windows 7/10 images and line of business (LoB) apps at an enterprise-level
  • Experience with remote management tools like LogMeIn, and are comfortable debugging remotely using LMI/Remote-desktop/SSH (including gathering diagnostic info for engineering team)
  • Experience creating WDS (Windows Deployment Services) image library
  • Experience deploying and/or monitoring remote Android devices
  • Experience with Oculus Rift, HTC Vive or other VR systems
