Your Mission
Based in the San Jose office, you will be responsible for sales, and design in support of Source Photonics products.

  • Create and execute a sales revenue growth strategy
  • Ensure product roadmaps are aligned with customers and end-users
  • Manage day-to-day business: forecast, backlog, shipments, RMAs, credit issues, and inventory to ensure Source Photonics meets the customer’s requirements
  • Sales development: identify, pursue, and track new opportunities in various market segments (datacenter, 5G, routing, etc) and channels (operators, OEMs, VARs, etc.)
  • Contribute regional sales information and proposals to strategic planning process; survey customer needs and trends and suggest product, packaging and/or service improvements
  • Ensure forecast is entered on-time and verified through multiple customer sources
  • Negotiate NDAs, 3PL, and supply contracts with support of legal
  • Lead price/share negotiations
  • Support customer audits at Source Photonics factory sites
  • Available, accessilble and promptly responsive to requests
  • Expedite resolution of quality issues
  • Build customer relationships at all levels
  • Document all customer interactions and follow-up on action items
  • Update industry knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; read professional publications and maintain personal networks

Is this You?

  • BS or higher degree in Physical Sciences, Engineering, or Lasers/Electro-optics
  • MBA is a plus
  • At least 5 years experience managing customer experience as a Sales Manager, Field Applications Engineer, or Product Marketing Manager
  • Past experience with meeting sales goals, territory management, building relationships, negotiation, sales planning and managing profitability is a plus
  • Background in telecommunications, fiber optics, or optical networking
  • Excellent skills at organization, prioritization, attention to detail, and follow-through
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Professional, personable, and a team player
  • Enthusiastic, a self-starter, with a strong sense of responsibility and initiative to work
