Digital Knack (DK) tapped into the Seattle, San Francisco, and Los Angeles tech hubs to deliver Marketing and Sales pros across all levels who were willing to relocate to either Santa Barbara or Dallas. DK was able to successfully bolster Santa Barbara’s limited local talent pool with top players by converting passive candidates to active via thoughtful, tailored engagement practices. Within one year, DK placed fifteen new AppFolians across Sales, Product Marketing, Digital Marketing and Event Marketing. The teams happily report that their new colleagues continue to encourage diversity of thought and positively impact company culture on a daily basis.
DK worked alongside the VPs of Marketing and Sales to enhance AppFolio’s internal recruiting practices, identifying key business objectives in order to optimize the hiring strategy and craft effective ramp-up plans for the sales teams. DK and AppFolio co-developed interview challenges and experiences, enhancing AppFolio’s candidate assessment toolkit and enabling decision-makers to discover expertise otherwise uncovered in verbal conversations.
AppFolio’s cost-per-hire has decreased by 50% since working on Digital Knack’s retainer model. Within a year of the partnership, AppFolio hired two recruiting leaders to manage the rapid, continuous growth of the Sales and Marketing teams. DK works directly with hiring managers and the internal recruiting team to ensure a seamless candidate transition and holistic talent feedback loop, allowing hiring managers, recruiters and candidates to remain informed and aligned. DK achieves consistency in presenting, guiding and placing external talent by adopting AppFolio’s internal hiring processes and policies.
